First bounce

We all gathered in Karen and Gav's loungeroom for what was going to be a ripper of a day, regardless of the outcome (so long as Geelong won). The room was a sea of blue and white. With pleanty of coldies and stubbie holders to go around.

Make yourself comfy, pull up a bit of floor, and get ready for the game.

The stadium is chockers and a huge roar goes up as Geelong runs out. It’s a magnificent sight.

The Cats are the punters’ favourites, starting at $1.45 to Port’s $2.70, but you have to suggest the result is much less certain than that. There’s enormous pressure on Geelong, something that Port coach Mark Williams has been carefully feeding all week, and a general sense that we might be in for a boilover.

(As it Happened)
